At the latest edition of Horecava, Horecava and CuliQuiz organised the first Young Professional Career Fair together. A new initiative that brought young talent, education and employers in hospitality together in an accessible way.
Around 1,000 vocational and university of applied sciences students from across the country talked with potential employers about internships, work placements and permanent jobs. The Career Fair offered direct and valuable meetings between the professionals of tomorrow and organisations in the sector.
The Career Fair was made possible in part by more than twenty committed partners from hospitality, leisure and foodservice. The first prizes for the winners were hotel vouchers provided by Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel and DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station.
The response from students, teachers, supervisors and exhibitors was very positive. The first edition shows that the Young Professional Career Fair meets a clear need within the sector.
